What if I don’t have an email address?
Create an email account online. Several websites offer free accounts (e.g. www.hotmail.com, www.gmail.com, www.yahoo.com, etc.) or follow instructions on the EMSRB website about how to mail your application.
How long will it take to receive my temporary password after I register as a new user?
You should receive your temporary password within 15 minutes. When you register as a new user in the e-Licensing system, a temporary password will be sent to the email address you provided during registration. If you have not received your temporary password within 15 minutes, check the spam / junk box filters to see if it was captured there.
I already have a License / Certification with the EMSRB – what do I do?
To renew your license online, you will register as a new user in the e-Licensing system just like all EMSRB customers. Once you receive your temporary password and log-in to the e-Licensing Gateway, you will click on the option called [Activate Existing License Record] to verify your identity. This is a unique step for you. Since you already have a license, you will be welcomed into the system through the [Activate Existing License Record] link which connects your name and email to your existing license record at EMSRB. My organization has multiple licenses with the EMSRB – How do I login to access those licenses?
You will need to register as a new user for each license within the e-Licensing system and use a different email address for each user ID. If you would like to request that your organization use only one log-in/user ID to manage all of its licenses, please contact Bob Norlen at EMSRB: Robert.Norlen@state.mn.us or 218-834-5271.
About how long does it take to submit my application online?
It takes approximately 30 minutes
from start (registration of a new user) to finish when submitting your
application online.
Can I return to where I left off on a partially completed application?
No; you must complete your application
in one sitting.
When will EMSRB receive my application?
EMSRB will receive your application
immediately upon successful completion of your online application.
Successful
completion of your application will come in the form of two emails –
one is a summary of your application and the other is confirmation of
your payment through US Bank. If you do not receive both emails, your
application is incomplete and EMSRB will not receive your submission.

Who do I contact if I have technical problems while submitting my application?
If you encounter a technical problem during your application process,
an error message will appear on the screen with instructions
on how to proceed.
Can I submit my application and pay later?
No.
Applications must be submitted with payment to be accepted by EMSRB.
How will I know my application was submitted properly?
If your application requires payment,
you should receive two emails. One email is a summary of your
application
and the other is confirmation of your payment through US Bank. If you
do not receive both emails, your application is incomplete. If your
browser terminates due to any reason before completing the payment,
your application is not complete.
How long should it take for me to get an email confirming my application was submitted?
Within 15 minutes you should receive

your payment through US Bank. If you have not received the emails within
15 minutes, check your spam / junk mail filters to see if they were
captured there.
What do I do if I made a mistake on my application?

By logging in to the e-Licensing website you can check the current status of your pending application(s).
